king of pop

Never mind the Beiber; here’s the King of Pop. He’s posthumously beat out every recording artist to become the most-downloaded musician of all time, based on sales data from Nokia.
According to data collected by Nokia’s Ovi music store, Michael Jackson has surpassed Elvis Presley, Lady Gaga and a horde of the world’s most popular recording artists to achieve this title.
Some speculate Jackson’s death last year and tributes surrounding what would have been the singer’s 52nd birthday this week to a surge in sales.
In a release, musicologist Geoff Roberts noted Jackson’s perennial popularity, saying, “Michael Jackson has always been a pop music legend. But the anniversary of his death and upcoming birthday celebrations seem to have revived Jackson fever as fans rediscover his songs, making him the most popular solo artist of all time.”

This one has a good pose and the outfit looks really good.

mmm…not too sure about this one, it does not really look like MJ. I think it’s facial features, it’s not as precise as the top model. However, if anyone does go, please send us picture. Spread Love. If we were in New York we would have been there already.

To mark a year since the King’s of Pop’s passing, a host of music stars will team up for a TV tribute on CBS News’ The Early Show on Friday (25Jun10).
Aguilera, Anthony and Robinson, as well as rapper LL Cool J and British singer James Morrison, will perform Jackson’s Man in the Mirror live during an hour-long special dedicated to the late superstar, according to Us Weekly.
Aguilera admits she is honoured to take part, saying, “Music wouldn’t be what it is without someone like Michael Jackson. I remember going to my high school talent show singing The Way You Make Me Feel and being a huge fan of his album Bad. I know all my dancers wouldn’t be behind me dancing if it weren’t for that.”
Anthony adds, “A Michael Jackson comes around literally once in a lifetime. They break the mold and I think there are people who just sacrifice their life, their personal life all for the arts. That’s what Michael did; he sacrificed his life for the arts.”
The tribute show will air in America on Friday (25Jun10).
