Usher paid tribute to his idol Michael Jackson as he played in London.
The Confessions singer, who has credited the late superstar for being his mentor did the King of Pop’s signature moonwalk halfway across the stage, in the second of his five night residency at the O2 Arena – where MJ was meant to play a 50-night stay in 2009, before his untimely death.
“Losing one of the world’s greatest entertainers is sad – while we didn’t get the opportunity to see him perform here, let’s pay tribute to him,” he told the screaming crowds before putting his feet into a pair of black sequinned shoes.
“Michael, we will never forget you – we will always remember,” he added. Usher’s gig, which featured currents hit OMG and Love In This Club as well as old-school tunes You Make Me Wanna, Yeah! and U Remind Me, was peppered with references to the late pop star such as poses and dance moves.
The entertainer, who last performed in London in 2005, will return for three more dates at the O2 on February 17, 18 and 21.

Our loyal reader Bayo tipped us off to this funny video.
She tell us…
Ush just got kicked in the head the other night by a fan he brought on stage with him. There’s a video, it was hilarious, he handled it quite well I may add.
You be the judge!
