You see we were reading this blog and blogger seemed less than pleased….

They wrote:

Paula Abdul is back on TV and I think we’re supposed to be excited about that. Her new show Live To Dance is yet another dance competition and somehow I don’t think we’re supposed to be excited about that. Live To Dance lifts elements from So You Think You Can Dance, like the dancing, and America’s Got Talent, like the fact that anybody of any age can compete, whilst adding small nonsensical twists, like the auditions taking place in a moveable dome or the fact the judges don’t confer before casting their vote… which are both game changing innovations.

Then we read that…

The second episode of Paula Abdul’s “Live To Dance” sank 25 percent from its premiere on Tuesday night, finishing the 8 p.m. hour with a 1.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.7 million viewers, according to Nielsen.

We can’t judge because we have not seen it yet but we were silently rooting for her and she has our boy Travis Payne. We hope it does not go south for her!

Paula Abdul’s new show, ‘Live to Dance’, has announced their judging panel. Abdul, will be the center of the critiquing trio. Joining her will be choreographer Travis Payne and former Pussycat Dolls Kimberly Wyatt. Hosting the competition will be Andrew Gunsberg, a Brit who has been nominated for his presenting work on Australian Idol.

This show sounds like our kind of thing.

A new video of hundreds of prison inmates performing a dance routine inspired by the Michael Jackson documentary “This Is It” is something of a sequel to one of the most popular viral videos of all time.

Two years ago, a video of 1,500 inmates in the Philippines’ Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center dancing a routine set to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” was uploaded to YouTube. Since then, it’s reached more than 37 million views.

Prison Chief Byron F. Garcia has actually released several videos since “Thriller.” The prison has even become a tourist spot, putting on a monthly performance, selling souvenir shirts and offering visitors chances to have their pictures taken with the dancing inmates.

None of the previous videos have come close to the viral success of “Thriller,” though. But now that MJ has sadly passed on, we thought it appropriate to share this performance. It was actually made possible by MJ’s choreographer, Travis Payne. He and two dancers (Daniel Celebre and Dres Reid) taught the inmates all the steps. Go ahead and watch both the dance routine based on “This Is It” (set to “They Don’t Care About Us”) and the classic Thriller” video if you like dancing. Hey, we all do — that’s why videos like these are so insanely popular.
