THE REPORT!

Michael Jackson fans have launched a petition in a bid to stop the broadcast of a gruesome TV show featuring a re-enactment of the late star’s autopsy.

The Discovery Channel’s controversial program Michael Jackson’s Autopsy is said to be based on the official coroner’s report and court documents taken after the star’s tragic passing back in 2009.

The show will follow a pathologist as he performs a full autopsy on a synthetic cadaver and exposes the “medical myths that surrounded Jackson throughout his troubled life – his drug addiction, his vitiligo and other disorders.”

And the plans have infuriated the Thriller hitmaker’s loyal fans, who have launched a petition in a bid to stop the show from airing.

Members of two Jackson campaign groups, MJ Justice Project and MJ Children, have united to urge other devotees to contact bosses at the Discovery Channel to voice their displeasure about the show.

The petition states, “We ask the directors of the Discovery Channel programming to proceed with the outright cancellation of this indecent documentary.”

THE PETITION – PLEASE SIGN

Discovery Channel will broadcast 13 January 2011 a documentary on events surrounding the death of the singer, Michael Jackson.

Based on the authopsy’s report and court documents, the film will show a reproduction of the body of the star in every detail. The documentary aims to follow a doctor who will dissect the body and reveal the true reasons for his death by spreading rumors about his addiction or his skin condition.

Like any other human being on this earth, Michael Jackson is entitled to a minimum of decency and respect. Over the months, media accumulate abuse and act as low as before.

Will.i.am

As with many other posthumous releases, the forthcoming Michael Jackson album, Michael, is already creating controversy. After Will.i.am told Entertainment Weekly that he thought it was “disrespectful” to release the collection of previously unheard material from the King of Pop, fellow collaborator Akon struck back.

Last week, will.i.am slammed the project, suggesting that there’s no honor in the upcoming release, due in stores December 14.“Whoever put it out and is profiting off of it, I want to see how cold they are,” he told EW. “To say that what [Michael] contributed during his life wasn’t enough. He just wasn’t any ordinary artist. He was a hands-on person. To me it’s disrespectful. There’s no honouring.”

AKON

Akon, whose “Hold My Hand” collaboration with Jackson dropped on Monday as the LP’s first single, insists that releasing new music is actually a way of honoring the icon.

“I think that’s probably will’s opinion,” Akon told TMZ of the Black Eyed Peas frontman’s statement. “Me personally, I think that’s keeping his legacy alive, if you ask me. I don’t see anything disrespectful about it. He got his people taking care of it. We all did records that we actually worked on together on the album. These records would have come out whether he was alive or dead, so I think this actually to helps keep his legacy alive. I honestly disagree with that.”

The hip-hop star explained that he hopes “Hold My Hand” will reach “another level” and be properly distributed as he and the Jackson team had originally planned.

Not only did Akon call his sessions with MJ “amazing,” but he also gushed that it was nothing short of a dream come true saying, “He was a very incredible person, very creative. That was really a dream come true on my end. I enjoyed every moment of it.”

Why does everything have to be so complicated? sigh sigh SIGH

Personally, we love the blue eye photo

The golden cape - not so much

Also, it’s common practice for celebrities not to like photos that are taken sometimes, but they get published anyway! Remember Janet did not like her W Magazine front cover?  So we don’t know. It’s way over our little heads.

A federal judge on Thursday dismissed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit by a concert promoter against the late Michael Jackson over a failed reunion concert.

U.S. District Judge Harold Baer Jr. granted a motion by lawyers for Jackson’s estate to dismiss the case, citing a lack of evidence that the late King of Pop or his family were under a binding agreement to perform at a reunion concert.

AllGood Entertainment Inc., a company started in Morristown, N.J., sued Jackson for $40 million on June 10, 2009, roughly two weeks before the singer’s death in Los Angeles at age 50. It claimed Jackson and his then-manager broke a contract for a Jackson reunion show.

AllGood later filed a creditor’s claim with Jackson’s estate, claiming the potential value of the lawsuit was at least $300 million.

Baer determined that there was a letter of intent between Jackson’s then-manager, Frank DiLeo, and AllGood, but never an enforceable contract. He noted that neither Jackson nor any other members of the family who were to be involved in the show ever signed a contract.

Attorneys for Jackson’s estate and DiLeo contended that if there was a breach in the contract, AllGood broke the agreement first because it did not issue a payment to Jackson before a required deadline. Baer wrote that there was no evidence that AllGood suffered substantial economic damage because of the failed concert.

“This case never had any merit and the claim was frivolous from day one,” Jackson estate attorney Howard Weitzman said in a statement. “Michael Jackson never agreed to participate in a concert promoted by AllGood as the judge clearly found in his opinion.”

We try to keep this site very postive as mainstream media tends to focus only on the ‘Conrad Murray’ stuff. We personally can’t make heads or tails of it and neither do we want to. Too many great MJ memories for us all to remember, no time mate!

However, sometimes we just get upset with the way they/media attack the Jackson Family. These paparazzi folk are just stirring trouble Latoya. Why are they like that?

PS: We love the #justice4MJ campaigners, so we will blog about them all day long.

Article Headline: LaToya Jackson on: fame, family and her future in Paris – Interview – Cover Story
Article Date: July, 1992
Article Source: Ebony Magazine

For months she seemed to be everywhere–exposing everything and shocking almost everybody.

Week after week, you couldn’t look at a newspaper, magazine, or TV talk show without seeing LaToya, flanked by her manager/husband, defending her decision to pose nude and write that book, Growing Up In The Jackson Family, the best-selling autobiography in which she calls her upbringing “stifling and manipulative” and accuses her parents of abusing her mentally and physically.

Not surprisingly, the book enraged her parents, who fervently denied all of their daughter’s accusations and blamed Jack Gordon, her manager/husband, for “brainwashing” their middle daughter and turning her against them. “Writing this book was therapy for me,” LaToya says today, insisting that not only did Gordon not influence her to write the book, he had nothing to do with her decision. If LaToya could have anticipated the scope of her parent’s fury, she was unprepared for the reaction of the Black community which was swift and severe. “Black people were very angry with me for writing the book,” says LaToya, who moved first to London, then Paris, following a “stressful and difficult” promotional book tour. “A lot of people didn’t believe me, or didn’t want to believe me, and that used to really bother me. It was a very painful and difficult time.”

Eventually, however, LaToya says she grew to understand the public’s anger. “People had this image of the Jacksons as the perfect American family and I destroyed that image,” she sighs. “But what people have to understand is writing that book was very healing for me. Now that it’s out, I feel free–like a bird that’s been let out of a cage. For the first time in my life, I feel free to live my life, my dreams.”

Hello all you beautiful fellow MJ Fans!

So I had the very unexpected opportunity to go into the actual courtroom for Dr. Murray’s hearing. Because of things I have been dealing with lately in my personal life, it hit me in a somber way. In my heart, I felt extremely blessed to be able to go in and represent Michael and all of the wonderful fans. I proudly wore my Justice4MJ shirt, a military jacket, and a beautiful red armband with L.O.V.E. embroidered on it (Thanks, Amy!). I was filled with pride of being a MICHAEL JACKSON FAN. Here’s a little bit of the experience through my eyes.

Michael was reportedly upset with Mottola for not promoting his comeback album, Invincible. Apparently Jackson’s criticism had an impact. Six months later, in January of 2003, Mottola resigned as chairman of Sony. He was replaced by Andrew Lack.

Michael Jackson is back in court with Rihanna this time for nicking the hook of African Jazz legend from Cameroon, Manu Dibango. Dibango filed a lawsuit in Paris on Tuesday against both Rihanna and Michael Jackson, claiming the artists have nicked one of his hooks “mama-say mama-sa ma-ma-coo-sa,” a Dual chant from his 1972 classic single “Soul Makossa”.

Dibango references one of the most famous bits in Jackson’s 1983 track, “Wanna Be Startin’ Something.” Jackson had already admitted to borrowing the line, according to the AFP, settling with Dibango out of court, but when Rihanna came calling in 2007, asking to sample Jackson on her song “Don’t Stop the Music”, Jackson agreed – allegedly without contacting Dibango. “Don’t Stop the Music” went on to top the European Hot 100.

Dibango was demanding €500,000 in damages and that Sony BMG, EMI and Warner Music be barred from receiving “mama-say mama-sa”-related income until the matter is resolved.
