latimes.com report,

The California medical board has reprimanded Michael Jackson’s personal physician for failing to notify Nevada medical board officials that he had fallen behind in his child support payments, echoing a previous reprimand issued against the doctor by the Nevada board last year.

Dr. Conrad Murray failed to notify the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners that his child support payments were in arrears as required when he renewed his medical license in 2007 and 2009, according to the California board’s public letter of reprimand, filed Friday and made public Monday.

The letter noted that Murray’s actions constituted a violation of California law concerning “unprofessional conduct,” grounds for a reprimand.

A public reprimand is a lesser form of discipline doctors can negotiate for minor violations to avoid formal charges.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges in connection with Jackson’s death.

Phyl thanks for the link. We are trying to make this story sink in!

A lawyer who worked for celebrity attorney Mark Geragos during his representation of Michael Jackson said Tuesday he wants to join the defense team representing Jackson’s doctor on an involuntary manslaughter charge.

The move by attorney Nareg Gourjian raised the possibility of a conflict of interest.

Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor said that loyalty to a former client, even one who is dead, is part of the rules that must be obeyed by all attorneys.

Geragos represented Jackson on child molestation allegations from 2003 to 2005 but left the case before the trial in which Jackson was acquitted. Gourjian, who appeared in court with Murray’s lawyers, said he was a new attorney when he was hired by Geragos and did little on the Jackson case. Geragos’ associate, attorney Pat Harris, brought the situation to the judge’s attention. “Our position is there may be a conflict. We feel it is our duty to disclose it,” Harris said. “We have the highest respect for Mr. Gourjian as an attorney.”

Phyl keeps us up-to-date with what happening over at TMZ. They report…

Michael Jackson wasn’t the first patient to die while in Dr. Murray’s care — in fact, TMZ has learned MJ investigators spoke with the son of a former Murray patient who BLAMES the doc for killing his dad in a botched surgery.

Months after MJ’s death, LAPD detectives spoke with Gerard White — whose father died 6 days after Dr. Murray operated on his heart in Las Vegas back in 2007.

White told investigators Murray not only botched the surgery and ripped a hole in his dad’s heart — but he failed to recognize obvious, tell-tale signs that his patient was fatally wounded.

Loyal Reader Phyl tipped us off to this new witness Sade Anding and her story. So we did a little digging and we found a video post which we put up a few days ago. Anyway, a more detailed report is in The Sun Newspaper. While the story does share more details we just HATE the way they call Michael ‘JACKO’. We moaned about their headlines back in 2009.

Anyway…Now we have that off our chest please click here to read the story

UPDATE from TMZ

Dr. Conrad Murray’s ex-girlfriend claims Murray knew something was wrong with Michael Jackson at the start of a phone call he made to her on the day MJ died — a complete contradiction to Murray’s story. Sade Anding told Good Morning America Conrad had called her “out of the blue” on June 25, 2009 — and from the beginning of the call, he “didn’t sound like himself at all.”

Anding claims she asked Murray what was wrong and he only replied, “Well ….”

That’s when Sade claims Murray stopped talking … and Sade claims she could hear someone “coughing” followed by a “mumbling of voices.”

As TMZ previously reported, Murray told police he was on the phone with someone for a solid 5 minutes before he noticed something was wrong with MJ and got off the phone.

Prosecutors believe Murray may have known there was a problem earlier than he claims … and may have used the time to cover up and make calls to establish his own timeline.

Our regular reader Phyl left us a series of messages that we just have to share…

Message 1

Just to let you all know, Dr. Murray has been held over for trial on manslaughter charges. This just came down a few minutes ago. They’re waiting for a press conference outside the courthouse.

Message 2

This is the most recent TMZ post.

Judge Michael Pastor ruled there is sufficient evidence to warrant a manslaughter trial.

In his closing statement, Deputy District Attorney David Walgren told the judge, “It was not Michael Jackson’s time to go. Michael Jackson is not here today because of the negligence and reckless acts of Dr. Murray.”

Walgren said Murray cared more about covering up evidence than helping MJ.

Judge Pastor’s ruling follows a 6-day preliminary hearing in which more than 20 witnesses were called.

If convicted Murray faces a maximum of 4 years in prison.

Message 3

Okay, press conference turned out to be nothing. Murray’s attorney came out and didn’t go to the podium, he wasn’t happy. The way he acted I think he was very surprised that it’s going to trial. I’m amazed he actually thought that suicide stuff would fly. Especially when there’s so much evidence that Michael was already dead and he spent over an hour covering up and trying to hide evidence before he called 911.

Then La Toya and Randy came out of the court house, but they didn’t make any comments. Just got in their cars and left. I know that the State Medical Board was still in the Court, they want Murray’s license pulled now! Hope they get that done.

That’s all I have.

Message 4

Well, here’s the latest for this evening:

Dr. Conrad Murray’s Medical License SUSPENDED
1/11/2011 4:15 PM PST by TMZ Staff

Dr. Conrad Murray’s medical license has just been suspended.

Judge Michael Pastor just ordered the suspension, as a condition to Dr. Murray’s bail in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case.

The Medical Board of California has asked the court twice before to yank Murray’s license, to no avail. But minutes after ordering Murray to stand trial, Judge Pastor granted the request.

Dr. Murray has 24 hours to notify the medical boards in Texas and Nevada of Judge Pastor’s decision.

It’s a devastating blow to Murray, because he needs to practice to make enough money to pay his legal team. Murray’s team believes the move is designed to take away his right to defend himself in the manslaughter trial.

Phyl – Thank you so much for taking the time to do this for us.

We always tried to focus on the great Michael years, the fun stuff. We find it extremely hard to deal with the whole ‘death’ stuff. Also we know general media always put their two pence in, so generally we like to leave them to it. Yes, we know we are in great denial but a few things are really beginning to bother us or dawn on us, like the picture the defence are painting…

We have also been reading some of the comments this blog..

Denise wrote…

Fans need to be prepared for the worst, cause California is favours the Doctors. AEG/Sony stands to lose 125 million if this is a suicide, so alot of background fighting is going on. Insurance companies are paying close attention too!!!

Most people are hurting all over again with this prelim trial. Some of my friends are avoiding the hearing because with what’s going it hurts still. My mom has been keeping me posted, and from what she tells me, Dr. Murray may get off!!! In California they don’t hold the Doctors to the law and they blame most of these celebraties for they own demise. It’s sad what happening. I hope justice is served!!!

Then we read this from a link Denise sent us

As TMZ first reported, the defense will argue that Jackson became frustrated when he couldn’t sleep that day and gave himself the fatal shot of Propofol when Murray was out of the room.

Boy O Boy

This link was sent to by Denise. She writes:

This is the latest on MJ. I’ve been listening to justic4mj today. Boy, so much was discussed. The defense, may try to bring reasonable doubt based on his drug abuse and the unknown id on the syringe. They want to try to plant on the jury mind that someone else was administering drugs to MJ.

According to TMZ:

Two doctors from the UCLA Medical Center testified … Michael Jackson was dead on arrival, yet Dr. Murray told them “not to give up easily and try to save the patient.”

Dr. Richelle Cooper testified when Jackson arrived at UCLA there was “no signs of life.”

Dr. Cooper added Murray was not forthcoming about the drugs administered to MJ.   Cooper says Murray copped to giving Michael lorazepam, but made no mention of Propofol.

And this was interesting.  Cooper says MJ weighed 136 lbs.

Dr. Thao Nguyen testified Dr. Murray denied giving Michael any sedatives or narcotics, other than the lorazepam.

According to TMZ

Alberto Alvarez, a bodyguard who says he was MJ’s Director of Logistics, testified Dr. Conrad Murray instructed him to remove bottles from Michael’s bedroom — along with an IV bag with a milky-white substance, before calling 911.

Alvarez says he walked into MJ’s bedroom sometime after 12:17 PM and saw Michael laying motionless. He says Murray told him Michael had “an allergic reaction,” then ordered him to collect a bag of bottles and put them in a bag.

And this is big. Alvarez says Murray then “instructed me to remove the IV bag from the IV stand.”

For the record, law enforcement believes the milky-white substance in the bag was Propofol.

Alvarez says there was a second IV bag — which we know contained saline — and Murray told him to leave it there.

Alvarez says only after the bottles and bag were collected did Murray tell him to call 911.

Thanks for the emails Denise #youarethebest

According to TMZ:

An EMT who arrived at Michael Jackson’s house 4 minutes after the 911 call says Michael was dead when he arrived, and it looked like he had been dead for a long time before Dr. Conrad Murray called 911.

Richard Senneff testified when he arrived at MJ’s house and saw MJ, he looked like a hospice patient — extremely frail.

Senneff says he believes Murray must have waited at least 20 minutes before calling 911, based on the condition of the body. MJ’s EKG was flatlined.

And Senneff said, when he asked Murray if MJ had been taking meds, all Murray volunteered was lorazepam (Ativan). Murray never uttered a peep about Propofol.

Murray told Senneff Jackson had been “dehydrated.”

THAT IS A VERY DEEP REPORT

Michael Jackson’s two oldest children, Prince and Paris, watched from a bedroom doorway as Dr. Conrad Murray tried to revive their father, according to a security guard.

“Paris screamed ‘Daddy!’ and she started crying,” Alberto Alvarez testified at a preliminary hearing for Murray, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter in Jackson’s death in June 2009.

Michael Jackson’s parents, three sisters, and brother Randy listened from the second row of the Los Angeles County courtroom as Alvarez, apparently near tears, described the scene.

“Dr. Murray then said ‘Get them out, get them out. Don’t let them see their father like this,’” Alvarez said. “I turned to the children and I told them ‘Don’t worry, children, we’ll take care of it. Go outside please.’”

The Los Angeles Superior Court preliminary hearing, which began Tuesday, is expected to last two or three weeks, with 20 to 30 witnesses testifying. Judge Michael Pastor will determine whether there is probable cause to send Murray to trial.

One of our friends on Twitter sent us this link latimesblog.

Thank you donatella77

The first witness to testify in Tuesday’s preliminary hearing for Michael Jackson’s physician described a run-in with Dr. Conrad Murray six days before the pop star’s death on June 25, 2009.

Renowned choreographer Kenny Ortega was the first to take the stand and said the singer showed up at a rehearsal at Staples Center seeming “lost” and too weak to perform.

“It was scary. I didn’t know what was wrong, but I knew there was something going on,” Ortega recalled.

The next day, he said, he was summoned to a meeting at Jackson’s mansion with the singer, his manager, the concert promoter and Murray.

He said the doctor insisted Jackson was emotionally and physically strong enough to perform and scolded Ortega for sending Jackson home — something he said he hadn’t done.

DECEMBER 29 – SYRINGE AND EVIDENCE HEARING

Judge Pastor residing
9th floor
Los Angeles Superior Court
Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center

Defense attorney Mr. Flanagan presented his case regarding his request for a court order for testing on three pieces of evidence.
1- broken syringe found on floor with unknown fingerprint
1 – syringe
1 – IV tubing adjacent to bed.

Flanagan is interested in quantitative testing of lidocaine and propofol in syringes and tubing. Coroner only completed a qualitative testing, not quantity.

Presumably the quality of evidence remaining in tube has degraded and become diluted. One syringe is reported as having only salt. The syringe and IV have only small amounts of liquid evidence.

Flanagan insists on receiving all remaining evidence to conduct his tests to receive an accurate reading of quantity. Click here to read more
