Since you have been gone, it looks like Chris Brown has gone a little hip hop. We are so used to him sliding and gliding across the stage that when we saw him ‘crip walkin’ and rappin’ in this video we just had to blog it! I can’t lie though MJ, the song is off the hook! One thing you have taught us all about the music business is it’s all about reinvention and versatility. O and he seems to be partnering up with a new rapper called Tyga quite alot recently. They have a mixed tape out called ‘A Fan of Fan.’ The guy has a nice little flow…I think your nephew Siggy would like him…

WARNING – A FEW SWEAR WORDS

O NO! EXCITEMENT OVER
You might have heard the rumour that Usher and Chris Brown was planning to tour together, well…
Usher’s reps crushed the rumor:
“There are no plans at this time for Usher and Chris Brown to tour together,” the singer’s reps said in a statement.
Brown’s reps also chimed in with the statement:
“There is no confirmed Chris Brown and Usher tour at this time.”
The false rumor was sparked by music producer Bryan-Michael Cox — who later tweeted that he didn’t know if the information was true. (“It would be dope, tho[ugh],” Cox added.) Source: sandrarose.com
What about the single? Is that still going ahead?

I am definitely excited about this film, but not necessarily because breezy aka Chris Brown is in it. It looks like a MAN MOVIE. But ladies, judging by the cover, it could be very interesting for us too. I am a huge fan of The Wire and Stringer Bell aka Idris Elba was my main man. So Idris – I am on my way, this better be a good one. O and Chris Brown, make us proud!

This takes me back to 1998, remember Brandy & Monica, with ‘The Boy Is Mine’. They were the biggest RnB divas back then. However, if this rumour is true please make this song amazing! MJtheBest.com is rooting for you.
According to thatgrapejuice.net
R&B heavyweights Chris Brown and Usher made headlines this week after their show-stopping performance at Jamaica’s Sumfest at the weekend. Now the pair look set to make many more, following confirmation that they recorded a duet during their stay in the Caribbean country.
According to Sumfest organiser Johnny Gourzong, Brown and Usher recorded the collaboration over two-days (July 24th-25th) at a Montego Bay recording studio. It marks the first time the one-time rivals would have featured on the same track. Click to read more

Usher & Chris let this be your inspiration…
The Boy is Mine by Brandy and Monica exploited the media’s presumption of a rivalry between the two young singers, the song became one of the most successful records of the year, spending a record-breaking thirteen weeks on top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 during the Summer of 1998, and it reached the top five on most of the other charts on which it appeared.

Chris Brown wasn’t the only one getting misty-eyed at Sunday night’s BET Awards during his tribute to Michael Jackson. The King of Pop’s older brother, Jermaine, told “Extra” that he was also overcome with emotion during the dance routine, in which Brown paid homage to some of MJ’s most famous moves and then attempted to sing “Man in the Mirror” before being overcome with emotion and weeping onstage.
“To see [Chris'] performance, it was very emotional for me, because it was an acceptance from his fans from what has happened to him and also paying tribute to my brother,” Jermaine said. “It was just a spectacular moment.”

We came across an interesting article on www.freireproject.org discussing Chris Brown’s MJ Tribute Performance. Check it Out below…
A familiar silhouette emerged from a thinly veiled sheet as Black America sat in front of their television screens and saw an image of themselves. They saw a person who was once loved, who had made many questionable decisions, and who they only learned to forgive and embrace in his death. The silhouette was of Michael Jackson, a man who left an indelible mark on the souls of Black folk despite the love/hate relationship he had with them. Michael was Black America. Innovative, talented beyond belief, exploited for his talents, robbed of his innocence, and consequently, transcended into a tailspin of bad decisions that for many people, were unforgiveable.
Last night, as we sat glued to our television screens, eager to soak in another tribute to Michael Jackson because it eases our collective sorrow for how we treated him when he was alive, the veil in front of the all too familiar silhouette of Michael Jackson dropped, and the body behind the veil was Chris Brown…a young man who over the last year or so, has been experiencing the same type of love/hate relationship that Michael Jackson did all his life.
