Michael Jackson, who asked Ne-Yo to write songs for his comeback album. “Yeah, Michael’s putting together a new album, and I’m helping him out with it,” he confirmed. According to Ne-Yo, Jackson himself called to get him onboard. “I actually hung up on him because I thought someone was playin’,” he said. “‘Who’s this?’ [high voice] ‘This is Michael Jackson.’ Click. Then his representative called back. ‘This is Peter Lopez. I have Michael Jackson on the phone.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God. Are you serious?’ And then I apologized for the next ten minutes. Any comedian who has ever made fun of Michael Jackson was right on. Sad but true. He does have a very high, not very manly voice.”

Janet Jackson on the cover of Vibe. The issue includes an interview of Jackson conducted by Vibe Editor-or-Chief Danyel Smith. In the interview Janet says being involved in the music business is still as fun as when she was younger.
Janet talks about working with a new group of producers on her latest project: “I listened to the songs and I immediately fell in love with them. This sounds like something Jimmy and I would do … this sounds like something from a past album, so it’s still me.”
Janet on growing up in her household: “I remember being a kid and they’d come over … you take so much for granted…. you’re not thinking about the fact that it’s Marvin Gaye over all the time, or Diane or Smokey.”
Janet expresses her feelings about Jermaine Dupri: “Married or not, it’s not important … I feel like it’s it …. It’s been about eight years. He’s just a sweetheart. Truly a good-hearted person.”

French designer and entrepreneur Christian Audigier celebrated his 50th birthday in style! The creator of Ed Hardy Clothing held his birthday bash at the famous Petersen Automotive Museum in Hollywood. Christian was the perfect host all evening. Wearing a classic white smoking jacket dress shirt and cravate.The man with flair has always had large blow out bashes with a great guest list, but this year he topped them all. Live performances from Fergie and surprise guest appearance Michael Jackson. The huge list of stars and celebrities were also surprised to see the music legend, Michael, just pop in to wish a Happy Birthday to Mr. Fashion Guru.

The singer made a rare public appearance at Ed Hardy owner Christian Audigier’s 50th birthday party, which was also attended by Britney Spears, Stacy ‘Fergie’ Ferguson, Pamela Anderson and Snoop Dogg. The 49-year-old singer joined birthday boy Christian on stage at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Hollywood to say a few words about the designer.
The celebrities and fellow guests whooped with joy when they heard Michael was appearing on stage. However, their excitement was short-lived when Michael simply said “Hello… Christian is the king of fashion”, before retreating off the stage.
One reveller told The Mirror: “Everyone went mad when he grabbed the microphone. The mood was electric. ”But sadly there was no impromptu gig. It was a shame because he looked in pretty good shape. He was obviously just putting in an appearance for his old pal Christian.”
Jackson made the whistle-stop visit to Los Angeles from his base in Las Vegas. The Thriller singer has been residing in Nevada’s Sin City since last year with his three children Prince Michael, 11; Paris Michael, 10; and Blanket, six.
Meanwhile, a chic-looking Britney was escorted by her father Jamie Spears and agent Jason Trawick. The singer appears to have turned over a new leaf following her recent fashion mishaps and cut a sleek figure in a black bandeau dress and Christian Louboutin high heels.
While Michael failed to sing, former The Black Eyed Peas singer Stacy ‘Fergie’ Ferguson happily performed to the celebrity crowd. Newly-single Pamela Anderson was also in attendance in a miniscule grey lurex dress, but unwittingly flashed her knickers at some of the crowd when she stuck her arm in the air on stage with Christian.
