Keep On, Keepin’ On is a 1996 single by MC Lyte featuring Xscape. The song, which peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1996, sampled Michael Jackson’s Liberian Girl, and was featured in the soundtrack of Sunset Park. Unlike all of McLyte’s previous songs, which featured more of a rap beat, Keep On, Keepin’ On had more of an R&B sound. The song also appears on Lyte’s album Bad As I Wanna B.

The great Stephen King wrote GHOSTS with Michael. MJ only worked with the best
Michael Jackson’s Ghosts is a short film starring Michael Jackson and directed by film director and special effects guru Stan Winston which could also be classified as a long-form music video. It was filmed and first screened in 1996 and released along with select prints of the film Stephen King’s THINNER. It was released a year later internationally on VHS.
The film tells the story of a scary Maestro with supernatural powers, who is being forced out of a small town by its mayor. The movie includes a series of dance routines performed by Michael Jackson and his “family” of ghouls. Every song from the film was taken from Michael Jackson’s HIStory and Blood on the Dance Floor albums. The film is also notable for an early film appearance of rapper Mos Def.

Mark Romanek (born September 18, 1959) is an award-winning American music video director who has also moved into directing theatrical films.
Romanek was born in Chicago, Illinois. He credits seeing Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey in 1968, at the age of nine, and again during its rerelease in 1973, with inspiring him to become a film director. Romanek experimented with Super 8 and 16mm film as a teenager while attending New Trier East, a progressive public high school north of Chicago that offered a four-year film production and theory program. At New Trier, Romanek studied under Kevin Dole, a local filmmaker who was already creating a form of music video on his own in the mid 1970′s. Romanek subsequently attended Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, and graduated from its Roy H. Park School of Communications with a degree in cinema and photography.
After a few years writing screenplays, Romanek decided to focus on music videos and signed on with Satellite Films, a boutique division of Steve Golin’s Propaganda Films. His subsequent work has come to be regarded as among the best of the medium. He has worked with many top-selling recording artists from different genres of popular music, and his videos have been given credit for making stars out of some.

L.L. COOL J will always cherish his relationship with MICHAEL JACKSON, because the late King of Pop helped him win a Grammy Award. Jackson agreed to let the rapper sample his hit Lady In My Life, which he turned into hip-hop anthem Hey Lover, earning him the Best Rap Solo Performance Grammy back in 1996.
