I started blogging for a couple of reasons. I had two very dear friends (Anita & Natasha) who were big Michael Jackson fans and were really devastated when he died. I started searching for rare Michael Jackson images to put in a powerpoint presentation as a tribute for them to keep in his memory. While I was searching for pictures I became really annoyed with amount of negative press I was finding.
Then I made a split second decision to put the pictures on a blog rather than a powerpoint. I started blogging on the Google Blogspot platform and posted about 30 pictures of Michael and that is how I began. My intention was to do about 100 posts of rare pictures and positive articles to combat the negative press that I had read and that would be my personal little tribute to Michael Jackson. This is why I call myself the Accidental Blogger…
Meet Hasan, this is my blogging mentor. He had been blogging for around two years before me and I watched him blog everyday. I used to think he was crazy, I could not understand why he was so obsessed with blogging. Little did I know that was soon to be my fate as well! I just could not see the point but I suppose that is why the ‘blogging idea’ popped into my head.
One day, when I was about 50 posts deep I proudly showed him my Michael Jackson Tribute on Google Blogspot and he instantly made me transfer everything to the more superior platform ‘WordPress’. I was extremely reluctant because to me there was really no need, it was just for my friends and family. Why did we have to get all professional? He was incredibly insistent, so I did it. Without Hasan I can honestly say I would not even be blogging today. He sorts out all the technical problems and has taught me everything I know! God really blessed me with him and now he is an intergral part of TEAM MJTHEBEST.com

Recording the statistics has been a very challenging experience. We have lost so many statistical recordings due to the site crashing in the early days because of the traffic, themes and plugins. We changed hosting companies 3 times. Once we started getting 1000 visitors a day things started to go crazy. Finally in January 2010 we found a great home with HOSTGATOR we now have a Virtual Private Server. It was still rather prickly in the beginning as the site still crashed but their support team sorted out all the problems. We have not crashed sinced March 2010.

Going into 2011
Throughout 2010 I kept thinking that the hits will drop one day, but they just kept on climbing. I set little ‘STOPPING’ goals for myself as my intention was never to become a serious dedicated blogger and this is just a tribute site. How long can a tribute last for?
So I said to myself…
- I will stop blogging when I have done 100 posts
- I will stop blogging in the New Year January 2010
- I will stop blogging when I have done 1000 posts
- I will stop blogging when I have blogged for 1 year
- I will stop blogging when I have had 1 Million Vistors

Sometimes, when gathering all the information to post on the blog it can be scary because you don’t know really know what people will like. In those uncertain times it has been the Secret Post Readers who have kept me focused and motivated.

I needed a place to go where there was people who loved him as much as I did and understand how it is to have this very strong feeling for a person that you have never met. If you don’t mind I would like to suggest you to use some Adsense units only for showing “TEXT ADS”. By a Research done by problogger, Darren Rowse it has been found that people tends to click text ads more then image ads. Although, entertainment site may get more click on image/video ads but at least you can experiment in some places….You can also consider to write an ebook or printed book on MJ. As you have huge fan following so that can be a really good choice for you.Beside my dearest Hasan Vai, I have another Guru. He is Pat Flynn. He has an incredible story of Online Earning through Selling Ebooks which motivates me all the time. An Ebook will also give you more popularity. Even if you follow pat flynn’s interview then you will find that, you may don’t have to write whole new things. Only rewriting some parts and proper organization of information can help you to establish great depth on your Niche…

I have already created an anthology about Michael Jackson featuring a variety of professional writers sharing commentary from a variety of positive, negative and mixed perspectives. Now I would like to create an anthology with more inspirational, fan based perspectives. Many ordinary people would like to share what Michael meant to them, or talk about their favourite songs or special moments, or how Michael inspired them in some way. Many people might want to have their say about how Michael’s art or performance or humanitarian work impacted them.
I’m looking for interesting, inspirational essays or poems of any kind.
I have a soft spot for unusual work, clever work, and good poetry.
I am also looking for visual art for the cover. Please submit links to your artwork about Michael Jackson. Art can be painting, or it can be tattoos, costumes, photos taken by you, jewelry, sculpture, mosaics, etc.

I just view this video on youtube. It’s a behind the scene video of MJ on his 43rd birthday. 2003. He went to Gary, Indiana. It’s 1 of 8 but very entertaining. You get to see MJ in a hold other light. Oh I just miss him, I believe he had more to give.

Here’s a link to an interesting article I found from ArtInfo.com regarding the upcoming December auction of photographs taken by Arno Bani. The photos were commissioned by Jackson as artwork for the Invincible album, which were later nixed by Epic. The photos look stunning, and Bani’s dialogue from the sessions is bittersweet.
