So guys and girls we found this report onYahooand we need more proof before we believe this. We need to hear Joe Jackson promote this at a press conference, see some packaging, a website or something!
TIMING
I mean we are still trying to take in MJ’s new album, learn the routines on the Wii and read all the books. We still want to see Cirque du Soleil. Then there is Janet, we have to support our girl. There is concert tickets to buy, a new book to blog about and buy…
CREATIVITY & BRAND
Then we feel the name is all wrong ‘Jackson’s Tribute’ for men and ‘Jackson’s Legend’ for women. (smh)
Thanks to an autograph hunter in Las Vegas who asked to borrow a pen, a French perfumer is poised to launch his-and-hers fragrances in memory of Michael Jackson.
Inspired by plants that grow at the late King of Pop’s Neverland Ranch, “Jackson’s Tribute” for men and “Jackson’s Legend” for women, both eau de parfums, will be formally launched on March 7 in the United States.
Julian Rouas Paris, manufacturer of own-brand and private-label fragrances, formulated the scents in just a fortnight, under a partnership deal signed in California last month with the patriarch of the Jackson family.
“With Joe Jackson, we are 50-50 partners in world sales, television rights and advertising receipts,” said chief executive Franck Rouas, adding that a part of the proceeds will go to charities favoured by Michael Jackson.
we don’t want tribute perfume, we want a signature perfume.
We want Chanel N°5 but MJ style.
We want stylish packaging not more memorabilia!
We want Versace not Vegas.
We want a sexy bottle that bends to the side that slides into a leather holder.
We want the gift set with the shower gel and lotion.
We want class, sophistication, fashion, celebrity.
We want something that’s only fit for a King and his Queen.
French Franck Rouas poses on January 6, 2011 in Nice, southeastern France a perfume that he created for the family of late King of Pop Michael Jackson. Living on the US western coast for fifteen years, Rouas became the official perfumer of the Jackson dynasty. The perfume will officially be launched on March 7, 2011 with Michael Jackson’s father Joseph.
Well this one missed us. Better late than never I suppose…
La Toya Jackson starred in an ad campaign for German beauty brand Alessandro International.
The company brought their new spokesperson to the Beauty International trade show in Dusseldorf, where they launched their new high-end hand cream called Dream Cream.
The Swarovski-blinged out 100ml jar will set you back about $226.The luxe cream is meant to last through multiple hand washings and in addition to precious gems, contains anti-aging peptides and hydrating shea butter. It is scented with vanilla, sweet almond and patchouli.
Alessandro’s founder and managing director, Silvia Troska said, “La Toya kept me [focused] on the product.” “She called me at 3 a.m., took me out of my bed, because she wanted to talk about the samples that I sent to her. So she’s very tough!”
Troska also announced plans to explore opening an “elegant nail shop” in L.A, after encouragement from Jackson.
For now, you’ll have to go abroad for a jar of Jackson-endorsed Dream Cream, as the brand is not yet distributed in the U.S.
Springing from his work on Return to Oz, Vinton was hired by the Disney studio to produce animation effects for their Michael Jackson multi-media Disneyland-Disney World extravaganza, Captain EO in 1986 (September 12, 1986) and the Speed Demon sequence for Michael Jackson musical anthology feature-length film, Moonwalker (1987).
“Michael called up and I’m sitting there, having small talk with Michael on the phone,” says Will Vinton, Claymation and California Raisins creator. “And I’m going, ‘What is this about? Why am I having this conversation?’ I realized he was talking about the California Raisins.
“I said, ‘Michael, we should make you a raisin!’ I realized he was heading that way, anyway. And as soon as I said it, he said, ‘Yeah!’ “
And so he was. Mr. Jackson said he would do the spot without charge, as long as he was involved in the creative end of it and choreography, says Mr. Vinton. The Academy Award-winning artist, director and animated film producer lives in Portland, Ore., where he runs his company, Freewill Entertainment Inc.
