“It was Michael’s desperate wish that our conversations be produced and the book be published so that his heart might be known to a public he understood was greatly suspicious of him.“
That’s bullshit. Michael was an intensely private man. He wrote his own autobiography. If he had wanted the world to know his private thoughts, feelings and anguish, he had ample opportunity to do so. But he didn’t. I doubt Michael knew you were taping his conversations, much less urge you to publish his innermost thoughts. If he was so desperate, why did you wait till he’s dead? Because now he can’t sue you, right?
You are a bloodsucking leech, Shmuley. Why don’t you tell everyone the real reason why Michael dumped you? Because you stole money from the Heal the Kids Foundation, that’s why. And you call yourself a spiritual leader!
May God give you back a double dose of what you did to Michael Jackson.

Rabbi publishes a book about Michael Jackson
26-Sep-2009
Written by: Domonique Hume
Rabbi makes book about Michael’s flaws, how sad.Michael Jackson’s former adviser Rabbi Shmuley Boteach published a book. In the book he talks about Michael’s fear of growing old, him appearing to be abusing drugs, and cosmetic surgery about a decade before he died.
Before anyone purchases this book I want you to think, “Why did Michael shut Boteach out of his life?” Michael thought Boteach was his friend, but Boteach allegedly back stabbed him and stole money from his charity.
Everyone knows that Michael had no intention for any of his dirty laundry to be aired for millions to see. Boteach just wants to be known.
I thought that whenever you have a spiritual adviser all the information that is talked about between the adviser and the patient is confidential. Boteach if you think his book will make you famous you are a serious problems. All you will be getting is 10 minutes of fame. once your ten minutes is over everyone will forget who Rabbi Shumuley Boteach is. Have you ever heard “what goes around comes around”? well its true.
This just shows that you can never let your guide down because their is someone always ready to tackle you. Celebrities especially like Michael most of the time never have real friend. People will do anything for fame. If you are a real Michael fan you wouldn’t even think about buying his degrading book.

I agree with everything that has already been said by cookie and DejaSoul and I couldn’t have worded it better myself. How dare you, Rabbi, as a man of God do something so evil? As said above, Michael was very private and that is why everyone made up disgusting things about him. If you think these tapes are going to help Michael, you are dead WRONG. Even in death there are still leeches feeding off of him and I’m sad to say that a man in your position are one of those leeches.
I hope you find in your heart something that is definitely missing and try to find it, for your own sake before it’s too late. As humans, we make mistakes but something like this isn’t a mistake, it’s evil. With all the scams with the Heal the Kids Foundation, I don’t see how God can forgive you for that, Rabbi.
If you think you’re living your life happily now, then good for you, living in obliviousness. But know that God is watching over everyone and yes, karma will get you, you just watch.

Michael Jackson Tapes: A Tell-All Book Written by a Rabbi?
September 25, 2009 by Hartley Engel
Is Rabbi Shmuley Boteach Just Another Opportunist Looking to Cash in on Michael Jackson’s Death?
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, a former close friend and spiritual mentor to Michael Jackson, has written a tell-all book about the late King of Pop titled “The Michael Jackson Tapes: A Tragic Icon Reveals His Soul
Michael Jackson Tapes: A Tell-All Book Written by a Rabbi?
in Intimate Conversation.” The book is based on 30 hours of taped intimate conversations recorded by Rabbi Boteach back in 2001 and 2002.Why would a rabbi write a tell-all book about Michael Jackson? According to Rabbi Shmuley’s website, “America’s Rabbi” penned “The Michael Jackson Tapes” because “it was Michael’s wish to bare his soul and unburden himself to a public that he knew was deeply suspicious of him.”
Forgive me Rabbi Boteach, but the timing of your book is deeply suspicious to me. According to the Associated Press, “The Michael Jackson Tapes” was originally scheduled to be released in 2003, but Rabbi Boteach put the kibosh on the project because Jackson was not adhering to a recovery program (which included waking up at a reasonable hour and staying away from children) agreed upon by the two. In addition, their friendship completely evaporated after Jackson’s second arrest on child molestation charges, reports the Associated Press.
Rabbi Boteach claims that he decided to publish the book after Michael Jackson’s death inasmuch as the public has become more forgiving of the pop super star.
But that is hard for this writer to believe. Did Rabbi Boteach write “The Michael Jackson Tapes” primarily for money? How can he expect anyone not to believe that?
The project will be shamelessly plugged – along with excerpts form the tapes – on “Dateline” tonight. Among other things, “The Michael Jackson Tapes” reveals that the late King of Pop had a obsessive fear of aging, a curious preoccupation with mannequins and thoughts of suicide.
Thus far, the Jackson family has not issued a statement regarding Rabbi Shmuley Boteach’s “Michael Jackson Tapes,” but it would be hard to believe that they would condone the book. One could assume, in fact, that members of the Jackson family would find “The Michale Jackson Tapes”to be anything but kosher. And how could you blame them? How could anyone not regard Rabbi Shmuley Boteach as just another opportunist looking to cash in on Michael Jackson’s death?
Prove me wrong, Rabbi Boteach.

(30-09-09) As we reported a week ago, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach has chosen to try and cash in on “his friend” Michael Jackson by publishing a book about the singer. Now Roger Friedman has posted the following in his Showbiz 411 column about the good Rabbi:
It’s sort of amazing watching Shmuley Boteach, a rabbi with no congregation other than an unwitting public, selling out Michael Jackson. He’s just published a book of interviews he taped with Michael back in 2000-2001. All the money goes to Boteach. There’s no charity involved. (Ironically, Boteach also recently published a book called “The Blessing of Enough: Rejecting Material Greed, Embracing Spiritual Hunger.”)
That wasn’t the case in 2000 when I met both Michael and Boteach together one November night. It was at the home of PR guru Howard Rubenstein. Boteach had convinced Michael to start a new charity with him called Time for Kids. They were going to teach parents to spend time with their children.
There were about 3o people in the Rubensteins’ Fifth Avenue living room. Boteach gave a long speech about Michael being the “most misunderstood” celebrity in the world, said he loved children so much he had mannequins of them in his Neverland bedroom. That revelation went over like a lead balloon.
On February 14, 2001, Time for Kids had its first and only get together, People bought tickets to see Michael, Boteach and assorted celebrities like Johnnie Cochran, Mother Love, Judith Regan, Chuck Woolery and Dr. Drew Pinsky talk about spending more time with children. The event was called “Love, Work, and Parenting: Can You Be a Success in the Bedroom, the Boardroom, and the Family Room?” It was only 70% full. The tickets were $40, $30, and $20.
Michael told the crowd, when he finally spoke: “I’m having trouble finding a date for myself even though Rabbi Shmuley tells me he’s going to find me the perfect woman. And I tell him, as long as it’s not a journalist!” Here’s a transcript of Michael’s speech.
When the accounting for the event finally came in on a Form 990, it showed (I reported then) a total of $203,185 collected from direct public support. At the same time, the charity’s expenses totaled $259,432. All but $20,000 of that was spent on staff salaries and office expenses. No money went to children of any kind.
Listed on the IRS filing were an organization president, secretary and treasurer. The latter two, this reporter discovered after making some calls, were Boteach’s sister and mother. The sister, Ateret Diveroli, repeated exactly what the mother had: “I’m not part of that anymore.”
Mrs. Diveroli insisted to me that her brother was “very honest” and had stopped working with Michael Jackson “because nothing was happening. He wasn’t doing anything.”
That was pretty much it for Michael and Shmuley’s friendship. There was a trip to Oxford a couple of months later, but by June 2001 Jackson’s “Invincible” album came out. In September he performed his 30th anniversary shows. Shmuley was gone. From the time Jackson was arrested in 2003 until his death, Boteach was out of his life. Jackson surely had no memory of making tapes with Boteach, and no desire to have them published.
And yet, Shmuley is back. He will flog his short, unheralded relationship to Michael Jackson for as long as the public — or TV bookers– can bear it. The real kicker: that his publicist sent out press releases yesterday, on Yom Kippur, offering copies of the book and excerpts. While every other rabbi in the world was praying, Shmuley Boteach was busy marketing Michael Jackson for profit. Buyer beware.

Thanks Roger for exposing this lying and cheating Rabbi! I just want to beg the new find MJ Fans to avoid books like this because they are fabrication and lieswhich uses snapshots of MJ own words during a moment of counseling and vulnerability to sell books and make money off of MJ our beloved King of Music and Art. You see those of us that have been around for the duration know MJ and first he would never approve being taped like this being as open about some of the names and people being mention in such a manner excess as part of a counseling session. MJ really thought he had found a friend and a confidant-someone he can share his most intimate secrets with and them be save. This explains how this beautiful man could need assist with a severe sleep disorder and anxiety but feel with a billion dollars in assets that the only assistance he could get was from an anesthetic and the worse cardiology ever in life. Shumley wasn’t suppose to be a counselor and Spiritual advisor so MJ already knew what happen when you share your intimate moments – they tape you, get you involved in one of their crooky schemes, lie around around town on you and exploit your dearest friends for money, and wait for you to die then say I told you so as if they are revealing the Holy scroll. The issue is this slimmy folks once again underestimate the intelligence of MJ and his great fan base. You see MJ has experienced unconditional love and acceptance from his Fans so he know when it starts to smell different. I’m glad this freak of a Rabbi only got 30 hrs of information and I’m sure MJ started to feel uncomfortable with him and cut off the relationship/fake counseling sessions. Note of Good new: 99% of the Jewish website commentors are on MJ, his children & mothers and his Fans side as well as the Rabbi community has denounced this fraud of a Rabbi as just that a fraud. This is from the U.S. Jewsish communities around the world to Isarel. Shumley underestimated MJ’s friendship with key Jewish leaders like Sharon and today’s leaders and they all have made statements denouncing him revealing MJ personal words and thoughts to the public and in a book. Rabbi had already kicked him out years ago even from the most Liberal Rabbi organization and they have gotten to gether with other organization on site I read to stop his release of the book thru publically denouncing him and calling him a fraud

In 1998 Boteach says, “Michael is a very traditional guy.” Persuaded MJ to write articles for “Jewish Chronicle”
Jan 2000- Boteach uses MJ to promote “Dating Secrets of the Ten Commandments”. Dedication: “To Michael,” it reads, “who taught me of humility.”
In Mar 01- “If you judge Michael by his acts of charity and his compassion, you will see that he is truly an admirable person — and a great father.”
AND, “I would hardly call myself Michael’s spiritual adviser,” Boteach said modestly. “I’m just a friend.” But he and Geller think MJ “would make a good Jew- loving and compassionate.”
In Dec 01- Geller said that the next “plan” for MJ- a ‘peace mission’ to the Middle East with Boteach.
In 2003 Boteach stated publicly that nothing happened to cause the split. He also claimed to never gosip, but 2 months later wrote a scathing open letter to Britney Spears, calling her a female MJ, then violates MJs confidence (or lies) with this comment, “In a few years, this girl is gone from the public eye. Nobody’s gonna care about her. She is all over the place. There is no mystery. I would never do what she does. I hold myself back.”
In 2006 Boteach states publicly his agenda: “to make the world more Jewish”. Friday Night Family Night- Sabbat.
This man says he despises celebrities. He is maligning MJ so he can use him as a poster boy to represent all the ills of this country, and to further his agenda, “to make the world more Jewish”.
Wow interesting comment! You know your stuff!
